Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)

When the nerves of a tooth die, often due to severe trauma or decay, they become infected and can cause extreme pain and swelling. Root canal treatment, also known as endodontic treatment, is the process of preserving the affected tooth by cleaning out the infected or dead nerves from the canal and then filling the canal to prevent further such infections. Once the endodontic treatment is completed the tooth can then be predictably restored back to its natural appearance and function.
